ABOUT
At Unobtanium Parts, I believe that machinery should be made to last. In years past, this was always a consideration, but not so much anymore. That hasn’t stopped folks from continuing to use reliable old equipment. The only problem with this approach has become parts availability. Some parts are just… unobtanium. I’m here to make them available again, so your “old faithful” has a strong chance at outliving you (and your grandchildren).

I’m a machinist and designer who is passionate about good older equipment. I barely know how to sew but have drooled over many older cast iron sewing machines. I think that flat fender jeeps and the Ford 8N tractor deserve to be kept in service indefinitely. My goal is to manufacture vital parts for machines that are still in use, but that the original manufacturer has decided to no longer supply parts. Pictured is a gear for an old Honda dirt bike, but I have made parts across many industries, anywhere from kitchenaid mixers to caterpillar bulldozers.
Obviously my current catalog is not exhaustive, and it is very likely that you need a part that you can’t find ANYWHERE, not even here! If that’s the case, please contact me with your needs. If you have even a broken part, I can reverse engineer and make several new examples.
